The introduction of the quality system in the work of civil society organizations (CSOs) has become a trend in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in other countries in the region. The quality system for CSO implies a certain standard in the daily management of the organization and providing customer service, that make civil society organizations competitive at the "market"!
Civil society organizations working with public and private sector and they have required to demonstrate appropriate standards of professionalism in provision of services, and to efficiently and effectively manage their organizations, often in harsh conditions. In addition, most organizations are facing increased competition from organizations that provide similar services. The commitment to quality is the way the organization can prove to work in the best interests of its members and users, in their community in order to accomplish its mission.
In the last two years, Slovenian Institute for Quality (SIQ) has held a series of training sessions and trained 15 representatives of civil society organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Currently, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, we have 23 certified persons for an internal audit, 10 quality managers and 10 persons certified for an external audit of quality system in CSOs.
